Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie tied the knot on Saturday in a romantic ceremony at Kirkton of Rayne church in Scotland.
The star-studded celebration, which was graced by many Game of Thrones stars, will continue at the bride’s family’s castle, reported People magazine.
While walking down the aisle, Leslie, 31, looked radiant in a delicate vintage long-sleeve lacy dress. The actress wore a floral tiara on her head as well as a white veil, which appeared to extend all the way from the top of her head to the hem of her gown.
She also carried a small bouquet of flowers.
The groom, on the other hand, was dressed formally for the occasion, wearing a black jacket, a cream-coloured vest and a pair of striped pants.
Actresses Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams were among the attendees.
The guests –
Peter Dinklage arrived at the wedding with Emilia Clarke and other guests.
Richard Madden, who played Jon Snow’s elder brother Robb Stark in Game of Thrones, let his Scottish roots do the talking.
Peter looked in a mood.
Sophie Hunter and Maisie Williams co-ordinated to stand out in a crowd. Sophie, who plays Sansa Stark, wore a bright red mini dress with black boots for the legs for the days. Maisie, who plays Arya Stark, chose to wear a jumpsuit and accessorised is with cool glasses and colourful stilettos.
Khaleesi Emilia Clarke chose a blush pink Dior number.
The bride and the groom –
The couple got engaged in September 2017 and confirmed the news in an old-fashioned way – through a classified advert in The Times newspaper.
“The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire,” the announcement read.
The couple met on the set of Game of Thrones, with Harington’s character Jon Snow and Leslie’s character Ygritte sharing an on-screen romance before Leslie left the show in 2014.
They started dating in 2012 and bought a home together in January last year in East Anglia in the UK.
“Because it’s as much her relationship as it is mine and I can’t speak for both of us. But yeah, we are very, very happy. So that’s what I’ll say about that,” Harington had said at the time.
