When asked about Cristiano Ronaldo, Beppe Marotta gives us nothing

With Cristiano Ronaldo-to-Juventus rumors swirling around Spain and Italy like they’re a Level 5 hurricane, it’s understandable that the Italian press was going to try their damnedest to try and find Beppe Marotta in search of a comment.

Beppe, in not really Beppe fashion, didn’t say much at all.

“Should Juventus fans dream about Ronaldo? I won’t say anything…”

OK, so that helps.

The talk of Ronaldo joining Juventus hasn’t slowed down over the last 48 hours since Tuttosport floated the story that he wants to leave Real Madrid and landing in Turin is the option out there. (Seriously, if Tuttosport gets this thing right…) It’s hard to say where things actually stand because there is so many different reports from so many different sources coming in at the same time.

Marotta, as is probably the right thing to do for a handful of reasons, didn’t comment on the whole situation rather than elaborate that there is in fact something going on with Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes. (Seriously, just think about all the attention Juve is getting right now because they’re being linked with Ronaldo.)

Spanish outlet MARCA reported earlier on Wednesday that Mendes was on his way to Spain to conduct talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and try to figure out what Ronaldo’s future at the club truly is. Rumors swirled that Ronaldo’s rapport with Real Madrid has been crumbling lately, and it has hit its tipping point over the last few months.

But, as always, as much as the rumors are there, the likelihood of Ronaldo coming to Juventus aren’t all that great. I mean, how many of you can see Juventus paying somebody an annual salary of €30 million NET? I know I can’t. (I’m happy to be wrong, though.)
