“As per the scores, Snapdragon 8150 is nowhere close to the single-core performance of Apple’s A12 bionic chipset”
The first smartphone with Snapdragon 8150 was announced today (the Royole FlexPai), but surprisingly enough, we still don’t know much about Qualcomm’s upcoming chipset. It is said to the be long-awaited successor of Snapdragon 845 and is expected to power next generation of flagships, that’ll launch in 2019. Even Qualcomm hasn’t let out much about its top-tier SoC, but amidst all this, the scores of the forthcoming chip have been leaked on Geekbench.
The chip will reportedly be based on the 7nm process and a new generation Kryo cores. Rumor has it’ll be a tri-cluster setup with two dual cores and a quad-core chip, instead of the usual pair of quad-core clusters. The arrangement would be similar to that of Kirin 980 where two cores are used for burst performance, two for sustained speed and four little cores for handling lighter tasks.
