In the last night (November 6) episode of
Chandran spoke about her inter-religion marriage and being abandoned by her parents for 25 years.
Born into a Muslim household, Shaheda had a love marriage and her husband is from
. Shaheda revealed that though they live at a stone throw’s distance, she has not seen her parents’ and siblings’ faces for 25 years. Shaheda, who was close to her dad, had learnt about her father passing away 5 years back, but couldn’t see him.
Her only intention to participate in KBC was to put across her message that she wants to meet her family.
She is happily married with a kid, but her family still holds a grudge over her choice of marriage. She tried to get in touch with her family many times, but they didn’t want her back. Even after telling them about her son’s birth, her parents sent a message through a common relative saying they don’t have a daughter.
Hearing her story, Big B was in shock. He made an appeal saying that inter-caste/religion marriage is not a crime and if they are seeing this, they should come and meet their daughter. He also said: “We all are humans and shouldn’t discriminate human being. She is happily married and you should let go all bitter thoughts.”
While playing the game, Shaheda also spoke about how she met with an accident and had fractured her leg. She was told that she won’t be able to walk and after 5 years she will have to be on bed rest. She gave up on love, but her husband stayed by her side.
Hence, she wanted to live life instead of being a burden on her parents. She went for ayurvedic treatment with her husband and now she is absolutely fine. Shaheda tells that she did no wrong by choosing this life for herself.
Shaheda took home Rs 12 lakh 50 thousand prize money.
